Web Applications

We specialise in Web Applications, focussing on internal enterprise web applications that need to integrate with local software services. We keep our design simple and easy to support. We stick with an industry supported web stack and provide an upgrade path to easily and cheaply upgrade and maintain the solution.  We strive to provide interfaces that are consistent and functional using a simple design.  

The following concepts form a part of every development effort which we call RIS4:

Responsive: The application should not just have a responsive design (to be accessible on different screens sizes) but should also be responsive in terms of speed and usability.

Integrated: The core of the web application is its integration into existing software services.  We have extensive experience in integrating with web services, authentication stores, databases and various other providers and data stores.

Stability: We follow a strict manual and automated testing process, as well as performance testing, to eliminate most performance and stability issues.

Scalable: We design our applications for use in a load balanced, multi-server environment.  The solution is to build from the ground as a scalable solution and we strive to implement a solution that has the maximum up-time and allows for non service affecting updates.

Secure: All our solutions are compliant with the top 10 OWASP requirements and feature a secure middleware layer that integrates with industry authentication sources such as AD and EAS. We also support custom authentication providers depending on the requirement of the solution.

Simple: Last but not least, the design should be simple. Web stacks evolve at an incredible rate and it is impossible to remain current in terms of the latest technologies. A responsible way to manage this is to implement a simple architecture that separates the back-end services from the user interface and makes it easy to upgrade, or replace both the front end and the back-end components.
